Through yoga, free movement, pranayama and meditation, Roxanne invites you to dive into the world of entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship is a vast adventure, requiring as much passion as motivation. We had the opportunity to meet three inspiring female entrepreneurs who have given themselves the means to achieve success through this path. Between their journeys, projects, and advice, discover how they embody entrepreneurship!

Can you introduce yourself? What is your name and what do you do for a living?

My name is Roxanne Blondel and I'm the founder of the Yogasana yoga card game! I'm also a yoga teacher, a passionate chef, and I help entrepreneurs launch their projects. A very fulfilling life!

Can you tell me about your background? How did you get to where you are?

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Passionate about baking, I started out in the biscuit industry, with a foray into edible cups. At the same time, I was very athletic. I injured myself several times, and the doctor advised me to take up yoga to heal.

What an unexpected turn of events! From the very beginning, I was captivated by this discipline, which was completely different from my previous experiences. I quickly realized that yoga offered me much more than just physical exercise. It brought me calm, serenity, and a deep connection with my body.

My determined approach to everything I do naturally led me to further explore yoga. Alongside my passion for baking, which I pursued by obtaining a vocational certificate, I dedicated a significant portion of my life to yoga, teaching up to seven classes a week. I traveled to different studios and followed various teachings, but at a certain point, I felt a plateau in my progress.

This is when the idea for yoga cards was born, a visual way to create sequences, a resource that didn't exist yet. During lockdown, isolated in my apartment, with fewer baking activities to manage, I dedicated my time to drawing and writing these cards. This project came to life unexpectedly, but it was a real creative boost during this unusual time. Lockdown thus transformed into a period entirely dedicated to yoga, creation, and discovering new facets of myself!

Your business in 3 words?

ACCESSIBLE: Whether in terms of size, price, body type, gender, color or build, my yoga card game aims to be inclusive.

INSPIRING: The practice of yoga is approached in a different way, with simple, clear, visual tools, in a joyful and playful atmosphere that arouses desire.

MIND-BODY ALIGNMENT: This is the underlying reason for its creation, linked to what yoga has allowed in my life, and it aims to promote yoga in a fun way.

Can you tell me about the project you are most proud of?

The project I'm most proud of is undoubtedly my podcast called 'Vibrations'. It's a veritable toolbox for exploring and understanding oneself, both physically and mentally, by addressing topics such as yoga, naturopathy, shamanism, and even astrology, through interviews with fascinating experts.

Positioning the podcast was no easy task, but I'm incredibly happy with the result! Through the inspiring stories of people who have shaped my journey, I shared my own journey. Listening to these exceptional stories has helped me enormously in my personal quest, showing me that anything is possible and that there are always new paths to explore.

Behind your projects, what are your goals, your ideals?

My original goal was to enable everyone to better understand themselves, an individual, personal approach. Today, whether through yoga or my podcasts, my ambition has evolved. My goal is to encourage greater self-awareness, both for personal benefit and for others.

I firmly believe that if everyone can flourish and be in harmony with themselves, it will help build a better world, where everyone is able to contribute positively.

What is your mojo as a female entrepreneur?

As a female entrepreneur, my mojo is based on the belief that entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, but for me, it represents a gateway to freedom. I'm aware of the privilege that comes with this statement, especially when I say that 'where there's a will, there's a way.' However, this mantra resonates with me not as an easy path, but as a deep commitment.

When an idea germinates in my mind, I am determined to bring it to life, even if the path is difficult and requires time. My mojo is based on the belief that there are no limits to the creativity, energy, and time one can invest in a project. Believing in yourself and giving yourself the necessary means are the pillars in my opinion!

Can you explain how your yoga card deck is a good tool for getting started with yoga?

Yoga cards are a great, versatile tool. It's especially great for those who are new to yoga and want to practice on their own. It provides a convenient solution for doing yoga without having to go to a studio. Because, well, it's not always easy to fit into your busy schedule, and it can be a little intimidating at first.

Even for yoga pros, these cards are very useful. They offer various variations and challenges for each pose, so you don't get bored and you're always improving. It's a great way to refresh your practice and improve your skills over and over again.

The great thing about these cards is that they're designed to boost creativity. They really help you stay focused and disconnect. It's like a bubble of calm and concentration, just for you and your practice.

You have a lot of projects! Let's talk about the upcoming ones... Can you tell me about Vanasana, the Tour de France you're preparing for 2024?

vanasana tour

I'm currently immersed in an exciting project I've named 'Vanasana', after my van, which I bought and renovated last May. The idea is to embark on a yoga tour of France starting in April or May of next year. I plan to visit many cities, offering yoga classes and even full days combining yoga and food, such as brunches. I'm also planning to interview inspiring people along the way.

This project is truly special to me. Having adopted a nomadic lifestyle, I haven't taught many classes, but I'm very proud of this project because it perfectly fits who I am. It allows me to create authentic connections with the community, to meet them in person. It's a unique opportunity to share an enriching experience, because I love to interact, and that's the best part of this adventure.

What advice would you give to women who, like you, want to embark on this inspiring adventure?

For anyone aspiring to embark on a similar adventure, I would say above all, believe in your project. Above all, don't let discouraging speeches hold you back. It's essential to give everything you have to make it happen, to persevere despite possible obstacles.

Another key tip is to surround yourself with the right people, especially at the beginning. Surround yourself with people who believe in you and your vision. Don't be afraid to ask for help and ask questions of those who inspire you and who have already traveled a similar path. Building a strong network can make all the difference in this exciting entrepreneurial journey!
